Essentials list for 0-3 months:

Nasal cleaner: (one or the other should be sufficient)

The Nose Frida:

OogieBear Nasal and ear gadget:

White Noise machine: (it doesn't have to be this one - but this is popular amongst new parents)

Night light: (here are 2 that are popular amongst new parents)

And then there is the Hatch - that some people swear by and others find to be not very user friendly:

A bouncy seat (such as this very popular one - this is expensive though! Worthwhile looking for a second hand one, as you only use it for a short time):

Yoga Ball: (for soothing a fussy baby - when all else fails): If under 5'2" - get a 55cm ball, if. 5'3" to 5'7" - get a 65cm ball, if taller than 5'7", get a 75cm ball.

Baby Changing Pad: there's several on the market - see this link below to help you choose:

Baby carrier: (these are my favorites)

Moby Wrap: for the newborn stage

Lille Baby: for "one and done" shoppers: the all seasons complete

Ergo: an alternative for the "one and done" shoppers:

The "Aerloom" is the newest one, but the 360 is the tried and true!

Diapers: Please consider compostable! (Use my first name (JOURNEY) as a discount code - when you sign up for the service - you get the 1st month service fee waived and a plethora of products for free as well - e.g. Newborn diapers, butt balm for baby, etc.

-OR- (another good compostable service - I just don't have a coupon code for them)

Swaddle blankets (3-4): for the newborn stage: 35 inches square, stretchy and flannel fabrics work best.

But read this article to help you decide:

(my favorite, and the one we used personally with both children, but any device that you can attach to the bed with the mattress at the same height as your mattress, makes for much more sleep for everyone):

(The Snoo - which many families swear by):

(an example of another co-sleeper that can attach to the side of the bed and has great reviews - but I cannot recommend it personally, having never used it):

Breast milk catchment device: e.g.Haaka Lady bug or similar catchment device:

A nipple cream, such as: Earth Mama Angel Baby Nipple Butter:

Lansinoh 100% pure Lanolin cream:

Nursing Pads (for leaky boobs):

Double Electric Breast Pump: (Somewhat insurance dependent, but my favorite brands are below)

Medela Pump 'n' Style with Max Flow
